November Monthly Social Dance 2017

Please join us for our Social Dance on Saturday November 25, 2017 at DanceSportVA. The dance style is Hustle and taught by Vickie Spitzer starting at 7:30pm. The DJ for this dance will be Walter Schultz.

Everyone is welcome. No partner required. We have dedicated Dance Hosts at all our social dances.

Cash and check only. $10 USA Dance members; $15 non-members; $5 full time students with ID.

Youth Events Planned. The Chapter is sponsoring several youth related events over the next few months. The first "Harry Potter Ball" was a success. Check the Calendar Tab for details. One dance event is being held in conjunction with National Ballroom Dance Week (NBDW). See Press Release and Flyer.

OUR PURPOSE (See full Purpose or download PURPOSE here​.)

USA DANCE, INC-Tidewater shall function as the local chapter of the USA Dance, Inc. a non-profit corporation organized to promote social and competitive ballroom dancing to people of all ages. We shall:
  • Abide by the Bylaws, Rules and Policies adopted by USA DANCE, INC-National and to insure Chapter activities are in full compliance with all National and Chapter by-laws.

  • Serve the needs of the residents of the Tidewater (Hampton Roads / Coastal Virginia) area, including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, and Chesapeake. Promote and support amateur ballroom dancing in the Tidewater area. Hold local ballroom dances. Present exhibitions by local, regional and national amateur and professional dancers.

  • Encourage dancers at all levels to increase their skills; Encourage local students to participate in ballroom dance; Inform the public about ballroom dance instruction and places to dance; Establish cooperative relationships with local dance studios and instructors; Encourage Chapter members to participate.
